1. Introduction
This privacy policy describes how CUTTER SOFT V6 PRO (the “Software”), published by CUTTER SOFT (“we”, “our”), collects, uses and protects the data of its users (“you”).
2. Data collected
2.1 Licence data
When the Software is activated, we collect:
- Your licence key and the associated email address
- An anonymised hardware fingerprint of your computer (SHA-256 hash)
- The machine name and the operating system
This data is needed to check that your licence is valid and to limit the number of authorised machines.
2.2 Google Drive data
If you enable the Google Drive backup feature, the Software accesses your Google account only through the drive.file scope. This means that:
- The Software can only create and manage the files it has created itself, in the “CutterSoft Backups” folder
- The Software has no access to your other Google Drive files
- Your Google authentication token is stored locally in encrypted form (AES-256-GCM), tied to your machine
2.3 Business data
All your working data (closure configurations, products, quotes, etc.) is stored locally on your computer, in an SQLite database. It is never sent to our servers.
3. Use of data
We use the data collected only to:
- Validate and manage your software licence
- Provide the Google Drive backup service (if you enable it)
- Improve the quality of the Software through bug reports (sent only with your consent)
4. Data sharing
We do not sell and do not share your personal data with third parties. The only data exchanges are:
- CUTTER SOFT licence server: licence validation (key, machine fingerprint)
- Google Drive API: backup of your sessions (only if you enable this feature)
5. Security
We apply advanced security measures:
- Encrypted communications over HTTPS/TLS 1.2 minimum
- Authentication tokens encrypted locally (AES-256-GCM)
- Anonymised machine fingerprints (irreversible hash)
- Replay protection on all API requests
6. Data retention
Licence data is kept as long as your licence is active. When the licence is deactivated, the machine data is deleted from our server. Your local Google Drive token is deleted when you disconnect from Google Drive in the Software.
7. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- Disconnect your Google Drive account from the Software
- Deactivate your licence to delete your machine data from our server
- Revoke the access of CUTTER SOFT V6 PRO in the security settings of your Google account (myaccount.google.com/permissions)
- Contact us to ask for your data to be deleted
